Happy Pink Saturday: Four Scores at the Thrift Store!

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to leave a comment because I read on Bev's blog,  ( http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ ) who graciously hosts our pink Saturday's, that there will be a $1 donation made for every comment left on a pink Saturday participant's blog. Last Pink Saturday I saw some wonderful vintage linens at  http://sissieshabbycottage.blogspot.com/.   which inspired me to look for some at our local thrift store, and  I cannot believe the great  finds I scored. I  found baskets and boxes full of vintage linens.  I wish I could have afforded them all! The hankies, only $1ea, pillowcases a mere $1.50. I took the pink ones, of course.(Okay, 1 has more blue, but I got it for the pink in it.)  I felt guilty paying so little for the pillowcases because it's obvious someone spent many hours handmaking every stitch of lace and embroidery perfectly. It seems such ability and patience is little appreciated these days.  So, in honor of those bygone ladies and times, here they are:

I am so glad that my vintage linens have inspired you to start collecting more pieces. I have found several pieces at Habitat Restore. As you know they are usually all stained and dirty and you have to clean them up. But the end result is always good!
Thanks for mentioning my blog, you are making me blush, (in pink of course)!
Happy Pink Saturday.

hugs

Beautiful linens! I love vintage hankies. I have a few that I have collected over the years.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog. I really appreciate the sweet words about my mosaic work and my studio. And I am honored that you think I should be in Where Women Create! I would love that!
Hugs,
Penny

Pink Saturday is such a fun time of the week for me in the wintertime. Michigan winters are not only cold, they are very gray and today is no exception to the rule.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog this Pink Saturday and for making my day brighter and pinker and more fun!☺

♥Wishing you sunshine surrounded by those you love today, tomorrow and always♥
